Orcanos specializes in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). It has developed QPack, an integrative solution for Development Lifecycle Management that helps organizations to better manage and track software and hardware development projects. QPack is a central tool that provides one stop shop for distributed development teams. ff

Who are Orcanos customers?
Orcanos provides its solution for companies dealing with software/hardware and medical device development, project management and outsourcing services such as QA.

What is a Software Development Lifecycle system (ALM)?
A Software application that provides all tools required to manage the development process. Working with one central system allows better share of project data, track and monitor development activities such as approvals, change requests, version changes, defects and so on. Its central reports server allows producing all organizational reports and documents.

How does QPack works?
QPack is a web based system that is installed at customer site, and serves all participants in the development process.
QPack is an ActiveX based program and runs on Internet Explorer (6/7).
Orcanos professional team also provides training and other professional services, such as data migration, integration to organizational tools, and more.

What do I need QPack for?
Look at QPack as an ERP system for the development processes in your organization. Basic implementation might take from few hours to couple of days.
On going maintenance is not required in full time.

Implementation might take from few hours to 3 days, depending on the organization.
The implementation will be short if the following occurs:
1. There are existing workflows and working methodologies
2. The organization is aware of implementing new system and takes it seriously
3. Participating in 3 training sessions

Is there a limitation on number of projects QPack can manage?
There is no limitation

QPack can manage several projects in different versions - combined together to provide one product/solution.

How many users can be related to one project?
There is no limitation

Does Orcanos provide training and support?
Yes. Besides QPack forum and Help Center, Orcanos provides manned support.

How can I import existing projects?
You can use QPack API or use Orcanos professional team to do the work for you.

Do I need another software licenses to run QPack?
No, you need Windows2000/2003 server for QPack server.
No special requirement for clients (runs on all Windows versions (from Win2000)).

How do I upgrade to QPack new versions and releases?
QPack installation also provides you with an automatic upgrade program, which automatically and easily upgrades new versions within minutes.

What are QPack technical requirements?

What are the daily data backup Procedures?
Daily backup is very easy. All you need to do is backup the SQLSERVER database (using daily job) and backup FTP folder. (Click here for details)

Is QPack operates over the internet?
We work over Intranet platform. That means you can connect to the system thru a VPN connection using your existing IE6 or 7.

How open is your system? Can I import/export data into/from it?
The system contains API you can use in order to import items such as requirements, tests defects, etc.

Can QPack import requirements/test/defects from word/Excel documents?
You can use our API.
