Initialize setup
After clicking setup EXE file, the "Welcome screen" opens:

Prerequisites check
QPack prerequisites check screen opens:

QPack prerequisites checks the followings.
1. Valid operating system:
WinXP SP2, Vista, Win2003 server, Win 2008 server
2.1. IIS6 and FTP for WinXP, Win2003 Server:
If these components are not installed - QPack will download and install them for you.
You can use Windows installation CD to install these components.

2.2. IIS7 and FTP for Win2008 Server, Vista:
If these components are missing, QPack will install them for you
4. SQLSERVER:
If no instance of SQL exists, QPack will download and install it for you.
MSDE (2000) will be installed for WinXP, SQLEXPRESS will be installed for newer windows versions.

!! You MUST RESTART QPack Server after SQLSERVER installation. !!
5. .Net Framework 3.5: If not exist - QPack will download and install it for you.
Install QPack components
The "License agreement screen" opens:

Support information screen
The following page will require the following information to be set.
Support Email: This is the email used by Qpack system to report on errors when they are encounter during Qpack operation.
Source Email: This is the email used by Qpack for the email notification. It is recommended to dedicate special Email for QPack system in order to identify emails sent by QPack.
SMTP Port: The port used by your Exchange/Email provider (Check with your IT administrator).
SMTP Server: The exchange SMTP server name or address.
Note: This data is not mandatory in order for QPack to work. In case this data is not filled, QPack will not send email notifications
The "General information" screen opens:
General information screen
The page inform you on the action to be taken by the QPack installation setup.
Now setup will create virtual directory on your local IIS and will also prepare your QPack database.
The The "Additional tasks" screen opens:

The The "Ready to install" screen opens:

The installation process may take around 30 minutes, depending on network connection and existing prerequisites.
QPack Upgrade
After installation complete, QPack upgrade will continue the installation
!! You MUST run QPack upgrade in order to install QPack. !!

Upgrade main screen
Stay with default values and click "Upgrade"
QPack will download new updates and install relevant services and components.

This might take around 20 minutes.
When upgrade is finished - the following screen opens:

Click "Close"
Click "OK"
QPack was successfully installed
In order to login to QPack, Click on the shortcut created on your desktop (QPack Client), or login to URL: http://[qpack server]/qpack/qpack.htm
Activating QPack
You will be prompt with a screen containing registration code and request for license key.
In order to activate QPack - click here
Troubleshooting
If you have the security yellow bar on the explorer - open http://[qpack server]/qpack/qpacksupport.htm and follow the instructions

First steps
You will need to enter the admin application in order to create new users and projects.
