Prerequisits for Qpack server

The following paragraph describes QPack Prerequisites for installation

QPack uses a client-server architecture.

The server runs on Windows2003/Windows2008 server, and uses the Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 Database as the repository.

For evaluation purposes and small team development - you can use WindowswXP/Vista as QPack server

A web interface is used for the communication with the client, based on Microsoft Internet Information Services

• OS: Windows server WindowsXP/Windows Server 2003/Windows Server 2008/Vista
• Disk space: 500MB
• P4 or higher, 2G RAM
• IIS installed + FTP server installed (if not exist - QPack will install it for you)
• SQLSERVER (if not exist - QPack will install SQLSERVER free edition - MSDE/SQLEXPRESS depending on your operating system)
• SMTP email server information such as: IP and port for email notification (will be requested during setup).
• Optional - Email account for Qpack server named: QPack (Or any other name to identify emails sent by Qpack server)
• Local administration rights on the installed server.
