Traceability Setup

OVERVIEW

The Traceability Setup enables the user to set up the rules to trace work items with the same or different work item types with default link types.

HOW TO ADD A NEW TRACEABILITY SETUP

Users can follow the simple steps to add a new traceability setup

  • Navigate to the System Customization section under Admin and select Traceability Setup.
  • Existing Traceability setups will be listed.
  • Click on the Add Icon to open the Add Traceability Setup Page.
  • Select the Source work item type and one/multiple work item types in the Target Section.
  • The selection of a default Link type is optional.
  • The default link type will be displayed when users create traceability between the source and target item types, but it can also be changed.

In order to add default link type to an already existing traceability setup, you need to remove existing setup and recreate the setup again

HOW TO DELETE THE TRACEABILITY SETUP

Clicking on Cross Icon in the Action Column allows to delete the corresponding Traceability setup.
