Alerts Management

OVERVIEW

Orcanos alerts management allows you to define periodic alerts sent to the user, based on existing filters

For example, an alert of filter “All Active Defects” can be sent every SUNDAY to the R&D group

DEFINE YOUR ALERTS

In order to create an alert, follow these steps:

1.  create View for example “All Open bugs”, or “All requirements without test case traceability”

2.  Open admin and select Alerts

3.  Create new alert, by filling these fields:

  • Name – Alert name
  • Project – Specific project
  • Work Item – Specific work item
  • Filter – the filter (view) for which you wish to get the alert. Note: Alert is sent only if the filter return results.
  • Active – set alert to active/not active
  • Description – Free text for alert description
  • Alert Frequency – Select period (daily or weekly)
  • Time to send alert – time when alert is sent
  • Expiration date – Alert expire date (can be set to never expire bu checking “This alert should not expire”)

Send to users

You can select target users/groups to send the alerts to

Note: If you wish to send a list of assigned items to each user (means, for example, send each user all active bugs that are assigned to him), put “Last Assigned” in the notifier fields
