Users

OVERVIEW

Users is a sections which allows the customers to add new users in the Orcanos, connect to groups and projects with different license types.

TO ADD A NEW USER

  • Select the Admin > Users & Groups >Users.
  • The Users page is displayed with the list of existing users
  • Click Add button at the bottom of the page.
  • Manage User Page is displayed with the following fields

USER FORM FIELDS

  • First Name: Enter the first name of the user in the First Name field.
  • Last Name:  Enter the last name of the user in the Last Name field.
  • Email: Enter the email address of the user in the Email field.
  • Phone Number: Enter the phone number of the user in the Phone Number field.
  • License Type: Select the type of license from the License Type dropdown list.
  • Job Title: Select the job title of the user from the Job Title dropdown list.
  • Job Extent :Enter the extent to which the user is working on the job in the Job Extent field.
  • Employment Type: Select the type of employment of the user from the Employment Type dropdown list.
  • Employee Manager: Select the manager of the user from the Employee Manager dropdown list.
  • Is Admin: Select the Is Admin checkbox if the user is going to be the admin. On selecting this option, the user can enter the Admin section.
  • Chat: Select the required chat option from the Chat field.
    • Allow internal chat only – Allows the user to access only the internal chat.
    • Allow public chat only – Allows the user to access only public chat.
    • Allow internal and public chat – Allows the user to access both internal and public chat.
    • Do not allow chat – Prevents the user from using the chat feature.
  • Date Format: Select the date format of the system from the Date Format dropdown list.
  • Click on Save & Invite button.
  • The “Add Users to Group” pop-up will be displayed .
  • Select required group to the user from the ” Select Groups & Click Add ” selection dropdown list.
  • Click on Add button.
  • The selected group will be displayed on the grid with group details in the ” Add Users to Group” pop-up.
  • We  have a option to delete the selected group by selecting delete icon in the Action column of the grid in the ” Add Users to Group” pop-up.
  • Click on Next button.
  • The users will be navigated to next page in the pop-up with the name “Add Users to Project“.
  • Select required Projects and Group in the grid by checking the checkbox .
  • Click on Finish button.
  • The users will be sent an ” Orcanos Registration Invitation” to complete the registration .
  • Till user completes registration process the status of the user will in the “Pending” state.
  • For users in a pending state, there is an option to Resend Invitation available in the additional options provided in the Action column of the user grid. This enables users to resend the registration invitation as many times as needed.
  • Once the user completes registration process the status of the user will be updated to “Active” state.

CONNECT USER TO GROUP

  • Select the Groups Tab
  • The selected group while creating the user will be displayed in the tab
  • Click Connect to Group link to assign more groups to user.
  • The pop-up gets displayed
  • Select the Group from the dropdown list
  • Press Save Button

Once assigned, the groups are displayed in the Groups tab.

CONNECT USER TO PROJECT

  • The selected Projects while creating the user will be displayed in the Project tab
  • Users have a option to change the group of the selected projects by clicking the “Change Group” option present in the more options.
  • Once the user select the “Change Group” option pop-up will be displayed.
  • Select the required group from the dropdown selection list.
  • Click on save button.

MODIFYING THE USER

This option enables you to modify the details of the existing users.

  • Select the Admin > Users & Groups >Users.
  • Select the Edit Icon from the Action Column corresponding to the user to be modified.
  • The Manage User pop-up is displayed with the pre-filled data.
  • Modify the required details.
  • Press Save to update the changes.

The chat options can also be modified when modifying the details of the user.
